Project 365-Jan 23rd

Sister got invited to a friend’s house, so this little one got to run errands with Mommy.  I was worried that she would be sad about not getting to go to a friend’s house too, but she was pretty happy to hang out with me.  But, by the time we went to pick up the older kids from school, she was completely out!  I guess it’s easier to fall asleep when your sister isn’t there to keep you awake! 🙂

My little girls decided to bring their unicorns to lunch today.  It was adorable!  I just love their imaginations!  I don’t remember who got the idea first, but they both ended up feeding the unicorns lunch too.  Then, after lunch was over, they took their unicorns dancing. 🙂  I love their world; it’s so beautiful and happy!

I love to see how well my little girls get along!  After a bath, I usually sit them beside each other in their towels to dry off.  Today, they were just having fun, being silly, and laughing together.  Adorable! 🙂

It’s hard to see my kids struggling, but they are human too.  We all have days that are less than perfect, days when we are less than perfect.  But these days don’t have to define us.  One thing that I love about documentary photography is that it shows how very imperfect life is.  It has to be!  There could never be happiness without sadness, or triumphs without trials.  We have have to learn, and choose for ourselves.  Life is imperfect, but that’s what makes it perfect; that’s what makes it beautiful!

We went on a walk today and I let the girls bring their bikes.  They were both so excited to go, but my youngest was having a hard time with the petals.  It was touching to see big sister get off her own bike to give little sister a push!

It was hard for me to see the kids go back to school, I miss them when they’re gone.  I think the snow days are such a gift for our family.  It was a fun “staycation” for us.  I doubt we’ll be having anymore snow days this year, but I wouldn’t be sad if we did.

Snow day #2!!  More family snow fun for us.  My oldest rebuilt the snowman that he made the previous day and doubled it’s size! (this picture is before it was doubled).  We also celebrated with hot chocolate and blanket rides around the house.

It was a snow day here in the south!  This meant a family holiday for us.  Daddy and all of the kids got to stay home, and we had fun playing in our inch (or less) of snow.  Of course there’s nothing like jumping on a trampoline covered in snow!
